Old White School Alumni Have Reunion

The first annual reunion of the teachers and students of the Little White SchoolHouse in Ben Lomond occurred recently. There were fifty former students and teachers present and with their families the group swelled to 150. The oldes student there was 86 and the youngest student was 34. Alice Wilder came and spoke to the group and presented each with a copy of the original deed of the purchase of the property from the Ben Lomond Land and Lumber Company in 1989. The group enjoyed the occasion and agreed to make it an annual event. Old family names in attendence included Coon, McNabb, Guichard, Alcorn, and Peterson. Some of the attendees had even attended the old “sand hills” school, a precursor of the little white school.
