Mortality Schedules: A Unique Source for Historians
Mortality indexes may give additional information on demographic information, place of origin of family, cause of death, etc. It is only published on a census year so may miss many individual’s deaths. The reader is encouraged to read any comments included with the entry which may have interesting facts and is cautioned to try to triangulate the Mortaility Census entries with another source such as the Census.
