After a $5,000 donation from hands Across America, the group is closer to meeting their goal of expanding food distribution from cheese and butter with St. Andrew’s church to support more families with more food. they have found a site at the former Carl Connelly business and have had freezers donated. The site is needed in Ben Lomond to better support people who live in the Valley with its harsh winters. VCU is hoping more organizations will set up shop in their facility to centralize services.
