History of the development and use of the trolley system in Santa Cruz. Includes discussion of the competition between Hihn and Pierce with competing lines and the interaction with the horse trolleys and the expansion of the narrow gauge railroad. Much of the investment into the development of this infrastructure was from Santa Clara and San Jose.
