Hartman replies that he lost all of the old pictures with Uncle Charley due to a fire many years ago. he notes that he had given photos of Charley to the Valley Press where he was standing in front of the “Toll House” and the Oak saloon”. Historical documents were also sent to “Shirley” from the Mountain Echo and to George Locatelli. He cannot find any other items. the picture of Goleta train station has a personal connection for J. Hartman.
