SLV home added to historic register

The building was originally owned by Dr. Phillips in the 1930s and was called Phillipshurst. Dr. Phillips founded the SLV Chamber of Commerce and was known as “the father of the Valley”. Before his death he sold to another physician who built the mansion as it exists at the time of the article and renamed Riverwood. It then had a stint as a school and home for the physically and mentally handicapped.
