Ben Lomond's Clara Moody, 100 dies
Death of Clara Moody, long time resident in Ben Lomond since 1955. She was born in Yuma Arizona where her father worked at a luncheon cafe for the railroad. The family moved to California in 1898 and her father managed San Mateo Hospital and the Masonic Home. When her father died she supported her family by working in the luncheon cafe on the train in San Francisco and that is where she met her husband. he became the Warden for Ben Lomond and the moved to San Lorenzo Valley. AFter her husband’s death she worked for a time at the famous White House in San Francisco as a sales lady before coming back to live with her daughter in Ben Lomond.
