Bud Hill, similarly to his friend Svend Hanson has been reported as missing in action after his plane went down over the Aleutian Islands. But went to Santa Cruz High and graduated from San Jose State. He was well known in the area as he worked at the mercantile and other jobs in the area. His parents continue to hope that he may be found alive and continue their service to the war effort as a technical engineer and at the Red Cross.
