Brookdale's irascible Tom McHugh is still speaking out

Tom McHugh had no problems taking on the establishment including the Seaside Company, Postal Service, County Government and political candidates. he was sued once for libel and fined $25,000 ad once was jailed for six months for something he had published. he continue to put out his magazine the Penny Press even while he was in jail. At one point all of the printers in town refused to print his newspapers so he began to publish them with a mimeograph at his home.
