Community meeting was held recently with about 40 people in attendance to inform the public about the planned project to improve Love Creek sediment problems and to also serve as a demonstration project for other local creeks. Love Creek was chosen because of local resident interest, the severity of its sediment problems and the potential for flooding, fish population decrease and property damage if not remediated. Grant money is available for the project and the timeline is 1-2 years. An advisory Committee was established to assist in future planning and communication as the project begins.
