The City-County Library System has agreed to allow Ben Lomond to take control of the their library and run it with volunteer staff if the community support is there. Otherwise, Ben Lomond will be closed with four other facilities due to lack of funds. The County has delayed this action to allow time for communities to find alternatives but the closure is scheduled to occur soon.
