Memoirs of J. Gilbert Triplett
J. Gilbert Triplett talks of the ranch owned by Joseph Kenville in the Quail Hollow area where he grew watermelons, vegetables and made butter for sale. They had a nice meadow for hay and also a vineyard. It is now owned by Lane Publishing who owns the Sunset Magazine. Also remembers Solomon Kenville who had a house above the railroad tracks near the first tunnel where hey had a large vineyard and winery and fruit orchards that they took the fruit to markets in the area.
