Interview with Darlene and Terry Thomson
Willinah (a relative?) lived in the McNabb house and was cared for by the Mitchell's until she went to a rest home. The house was rented to Bank of American by Pat Liebenthal. The Thompson;s recount other memories about town citizens and locations of stores. They note that the Fire Truck was parked at Wilder Hall and tht the Ben Lomond School used Quonset huts for 5th and 6th grades. Darlene's parents moved to Ben Lomond in 1943 and Darlene lived with them in their house on Love Creek and Central across from the school. The Thompsons also remember the opening of the Brookdale Lodge and the dinners at the Ben Lomond Lodge.
