Letter from Francis J. McCabe

Letter written to Faye Ellis about her family. She notes that many of her relatives came to Santa Cruz 125 years ago. Her father was born in Tennessee and left home at 13 years old. He came to Santa Cruz via covered wagon "when the west was Kansas". He worked at Newell Creek mill before marrying her mother. The two separated after two children were born and her Dad lived along after that.
