Florence Ireland Interview

Mr. Brackney had five cabins on his property that he wanted to sell to buy a gold mine. He bought the gold mine and lost a lot of money . Her mother chose this one because it had a little pathway to a sandy beach on the river which is gone now. No water in the cabin as Mr Brackney thought the women would waste it if it ran inside. The water was obtained from a spring across Highway 9. Over time the cabin was improved by Bill Paradis. The sleeping porch was added. The neighbor up the hills would yell down when the meat, vegetable, fruit truck was on its way down.
