Ben Lomond house receives plaque
The Kader Iris House was one of four houses in Santa Cruz County that had proposed the designation to the Historical Society and it was granted the designation. The house was built in 1879 by David Bowman and then later sold to the Bartlett family who planted pear orchards. The Bartlett Pear was produced there for over twenty-five years. It is now a B and B owned by Laura and Lee Jonas.
