Andersons' Highlands and photo of house
Photo of the Highlands House built by Lord and Lady Anderson. It was torn down in 1930 and is located near San Lorenzo countypark currently. Residents remember the Anderson’s riding around in their British carriage versus the buckboard wagons owned by Ben Lomond residents. Alice Wilder notes that the Gardner was Frank McCabe and several of his children were born there, one in the carriage house which is the office for Jay’s Timberlane now. Ms Anderson donated land to St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church there was a special step for Mrs. Anderson to get out of her carriage. The second Mrs Anderson was of the Sargent family who were big ranch owners.
