UCSC student works on a nature trail along the river
Kelly McCarthy with the help of Boy Scout David Vignola and County Parks Volunteers is re-establishing a river trail that was built by the Save San Lorenzo Rive Association in the late `970s. That trail was destroyed in the floods of 1981-1982 and Kelly has to restore the trails and even expand them. She has received several grants and also has the support of Fred McPherson of the River Asso. There will be new trails, signage and a guidebook published by County Parks to enhance the experience.
