Odessa Guichard Ryan

Document tells story of the move from New Orleans to Ben Lomond. She states that her mother cried when she arrived at the farm on Alba Road and never liked it there as it was very different then New Orleans. The school was created by land donated by local resident and was attended by the Guichard children. The first house built did not last long however the second house with its many additions is still lived in today by Odessa Guichard. the interview mentions that people began to move down to Ben Lomond on Mill Street after the Flood of 1907.
