Letter to Alice Hessey- 1936

From Henry hessey to Alice Hessey. He notes the nice weather of Ben Lomond and that he is taking care of a lot of summer homes now as a yard an and carpenter. He says it must be a lot colder in Nebraska, maybe like Iowa. He says there are many climates in California and you can have frost all through the year. he says he never married altho he almost proposed to a “kootchet dancer” but she “wiggled out of it”. he states there are a lot of wealthy people here but also a lot on relief. he says he is only 70 miles from San Francisco and hopes to visit soon. he has been monitoring the bridge being built and he says it should be open in a week.
