History of the development of the Brookdale Fish hatchery on land donated by Judge Logan. The citizens of the area have also been very helpful in donating money towards the endeavor. Fish were transported by railroad to the river and released. The Fish hatchery was operated until 1952 until it was deemed not feasible to continue. The land and house was given back to Mrs. Logan who offered to let the current manager Mr. Clemson stay at the house for now.
