Letter Aug 5, 1979 to Faye Ellis from E. Magnuson

Details her mother’s work with starting a small library in their home with books from the Santa Cru Branch to working with Professor Brooks a local resident to purchase property along the River and turned it into a park and a library for the town. The first dedicated space was in the second floor of Len Cody’s plumbing shop and things grew from there. Her mother also wrote a column about Ben Lomond for the Santa Cruz Sentinel. Her father worked for C. P. Lewis when he owned a grocery and then a shoe store.
