Letter Aug. 16, 1980 to Faye Ellis from E. Magnuson

In answer to Faye Ellis’ questions in a previous letter, Ms. Magnuson notes that on July 4th there used to be picnics with the usual games, a speaker, and music. Sometimes their family would choose to have a picnic at the beach. On May Day, she and her siblings would pick flowers and put in a basket and leave on the doorstep of neighbors. She also notes how hot it could be in Ben Lomond and she used to watch the fog come up the San Lorenzo Valley from the ocean and look forward to it arriving at her house.
