A box from San Francisco arrived at the office with instructions to feed the food contained inside to the animals of the Santa Cruz Mountains which the writer remembers from living there. Hi was older then and asked for help in distributing the items including buying hay for the deer who lived in the meadow. Also description of the Christmas tree in the old school decorated by students with cranberries, paper garlands and real candles.
