Phone interview with elderly resident highlights meal preparations for Thanksgiving dinner including the purchase of two turkeys and all the fixings. Some vegetables and boiled eggs were preserved in the summer and Shirley notes she hated having to get the pickled eggs because of the “water glass” preservative.
