Mrs. Weatherly describes how she and her husband used to visit the castle and bring their friends from Berkeley there on the week-ens. On one visit they saw it was for sale and bought the castle. They did renovations in 1946 which was somewhat challenging to get materials for during the war. They built right up to the property line to add on additional rooms. Mrs. Weatherly talks about her interior decorations and how she has opened her home for tours and Ladies Club events.
