Built in the early 102’s by My Howden who wanted to be reminded of his home in Scotland. He wrote many poems in the 20s and 30s about Ben Lomond and Scotland. He was a stone mason and built much of the stone work by hand. he also etched scenes and poems from Scotland on his window panes. The castle passed through many hands over the succeeding years with each owner expanding and improving the castle. Current owner is Mrs. Ivy Weatherly who still opens the home to tours on the week-ends.
