Experience of two men who started in Ben Lomond and hiked up Marshall Creek to the homes along Fanning Grade. Mr. Fanning gives parts of his property to people who desire a small plot and they can pay by working on the wagon road. The author notes that fruit tress seem to do well in the protected area and they enjoyed meeting all the inhabitants including Jason Brown.
