Site was first a lumber mill which was purchases by John Logan (creator of the Logan Berry) and developed into a recreational area with the Logan Hotel and other facilities. Twenty one years later Dr. Camp had built the Brookdale Lodge on the site of the original hotel and the beautiful resort became world famous for its unique setting.
