Club was established in 1920 by women who spent the summers in the Brookdale area and its vision was to improve the cultural and civic lives of Brookdale residents. Service to the community has included raising funds for the fire department, bringing in sand for a beach for children, and paying to cut a fire trails between Brookdale and Boulder Creek. Today’s club is more of a social club with luncheons and cards twice monthly. Participation now extends to all areas of the San Lorenzo Valley area.
