Old Santa Cruz
History of several key pioneers including John Logan who cultivated the Loganberry on his property. With S.F. Grover, Judge Logan created the resort town of Brookdale which became a summer residence for locals first and then people from Oakland and San Jose. Theophilus Noel was instrumental in discussions about where the cement plant was to be located, eventually outside of town in Davenport. Article ends with a short segment on the San Lorenzo Valley flume.
