Bob Lyons and Herm Ius will turn over operations to a Salinas family, Ron and Marlo Clements and Ron's father, Lester. The Clements have owned Fairway Market in Freedom and Ron's Market in Salinas for 25 years. They are moving to Ben Lomond to run BL Super. Ius and Lyons will focus on the liquor business they recently opened and the Meat Department will remain the same as before. Partners Lyons and Ius opened BL Super in 1965 changing the name from Dickenson's.
