Betty Lewis became fascinated with W,H, Weeks when she bagan to learn about some of the local "gingerbread" homes in Watsonville and Santa Cruz designed by him. The book took 12 years to write as is filled with pictures of the buildings designed by Weeks and the history of his life an work in California.
