Ben Lomond of Thirty Years Ago is Depicted in Newspapers on Wall of Half Century Old House
House was built in 1870 and one of the owners bought copies of the Santa Cruz Penny Press and papered the walls which were dark and gloomy. This paper was uncovered recently as the current wall paper was stripped off. Article talks of the teachers who taught there and the facilities for water and classrooms. AGes ranged from 6 to 16 years old. Some walked two miles from home in Love Creek to attend.
