Parent participation, innovation are keys to success at 10 year old Glen Arbor
SChool opened in 1977 by Shirley Cambell a former Head Start teacher. Her child plus 20 other pre school children were left without a school when the River Pre-school closed. A group of parents got together and formed the school and continue to participate in daily operations today. Funding for new buildings occurred through grants and other gifts. The school is growingwith the addition of the Redwood Mountain pre-school which recently closed.
