The state Senate's Natural Resources Committee ruled that J, Hart Clinton, publisher of the San Mateo Times cannot have his property rezoned out of the timber zone. Findings stated that Clinton did not formally ask to be rezoned as per procedure. He pursued arguing that he should have never been zoned for timber. State Senate sent Clinton back to deal with the County of Santa Cruz.
