Diane Cohan and Gloria Simpson describe their work as mental health professionals for the FEMA funded Project Cope (a Loma Prieta response project) as well as their individual experiences of the earthquake – Diane on the road on the way home from work, and Gloria in the hospital a few hours after giving birth.
