With this train leaving Boulder Creek, California in January 1934, carrying a load of redwood ties from G.M. Locatelli, one of the greatest redwood shipping centers of the world passed out of industrial history. It concluded a period, beginning in 1884, during which Boulder Creek rose to second in importance among the redwood-shipping localities of California.
