Boulder Creek, July 18--With a temperature of 102 in the shade it did not take much begging by the movie director to persuade Albert Malone of Boulder Creek to "double" for Helen Bruno the Indian girl in the new picture that the Universal Company is shooting at Boulder. The scenes were taken down at the "Ole Swimming Pool," and Albert took a fifty-foot dive to rescue the heroine in the canoe. The dive was the most beautiful that Albert has done for a long time, diving from the limb of an old tree high above the water, into the swirling foam among the rocks, where a mis-dive would have resulted in injuries if not death. There was sure a big crowd of localites there to see Al become a movie actor.

Several other scenes were "shot" along the dam and the creek below the dam where the scenery is a natural setting for movie scenes."
