Another Movie Company To Film Local Redwoods
F. W. Swanton, who is here from Los Angeles, states that Alan Dwan and his entire company will be here this week to take some redwood scenes for "The Scoffer," a Mayflower production.
One of the scenes will show a huge tree struck by lightning. The tree has been selected and the forestry commission has given their permission. The effect will be gained by the stringing of electric wires into the forest.
The company will leave on Monday morning from the studio at Los Angeles and Monday night will be spent at Paso Robles, and on Wednesday the company will be in the redwoods.
Among the cast are Alan Dwan, J. R. Kirkwood, James P. Hogan, Mark Thurman, Jean Smith and Benny Buring, together with Lyman Droening and Glen McWilliams as cameraman."
