Moving Picture Company Arrives To Film Scenes

The Schertzinger Production Company of movie players arrived from Santa Barbara this morning and are registered at the St. George Hotel, which will be their headquarters during their stay here. The company numbering 26 people carry a large amount of property equipment that will be used in filming outdoor scenes in and about the vicinity of Santa Cruz. Victor Schertzinger, head of the company, was formerly director for Charles Ray, the famous screen star. The Company is one of the best known on the coast and they are not strangers to Santa Cruz, having been here about five years ago when they filmed "Sudden Jim" at Boulder Creek.

Schertzinger, besides directing a number of Charles Ray productions, was also responsible for many of the early Triangle successes, so popular at the present time with movie fans.

Some of the stars accompanying the Schertzinger Productions to Santa Cruz include Pauline Stark, famous for her enactment of romantic roles and Haliam Cooley and Russell Simpson.

The Schertzinger studio at Santa Barbara is known all over the country."
