Local Nisei With 'O'connor Task Force'
SIXTH ARMY GROUP, France (Special to Register-Pajaronian) - For destroying the German main line of resistance in the rugged Vosges mountains of north-eastern France, more than 300 members of the "O'Connor Task Force" of the 442nd Japanese-American combat team have been awarded the presidential distinguished unit citation. Members of the task force include Cpl. George N. Matsumoto, infantry, Watsonville, Calif."
