The Japanese-American boys and girls who last year were pupils in Santa Cruz public schools are writing back to the school authorities for certified record of their credits.

The boys and girls, with few exceptions leaders in scholarship and in extra-curricular activities, are most of them in the concentration center near Poston, Arizona.

Schools have been set up by the army which is the official warden of the internees, which will carry on a program identical with all other American schools.

More than a score pupils of Japanese descent but good American nationality have officially transferred from SCHS to Poston Academy; fully as many more have gone from our grades.
