Malio Stagnaro Speaks For S.C. Fishermen
Malio Stagnaro, spokesman, Sunday night vouched for the sincerity of the Italian colony on the municipal pier and said this community has "nothing to fear" from their loyalty to the nation they have adopted.
"There are only a few aliens in the local fishing colony," he said, "but these men have sons in the United States navy or the U.S. army and are 100 per cent behind this nation."
Some have taken out their first papers and will take out final papers as soon as the necessary time has elapsed, Stagnaro said.
"There are not ten aliens on the municipal wharf or in the local fishing colony, but those few who are aliens are 100 per cent American", said the wharf spokesman.
