Anthony Trumbly, Death of a Soldier of the Rebellion
Anthony Trumbly died on Saturday at his home in East Santa Cruz. Mr. Trumbly came to Santa Cruz about a year and a half ago to join his family here and hoping to regain his health. He was a native of the State of New York, was in his 71st year and had been a soldier in the War of Rebellion having joined the army from the state of Wisconsin of which he was a resident for 38 years.
He leaves a widow and seven children to mourn his loss.
Owing to feeble health and advanced age, Mr. Trumbly never connected himself with either posts of the Grand Army here, but he was an honorable member of the organization.
The funeral will take place from the family residence on Caledonia St. in East Santa Cruz at 2:00 this afternoon and all members of the Grand Army are invited to attend.
