DIED: SANDERSON - In Soquel June 10th, Hon. George P. Sanderson, a native of Maine aged 80 years, 6 Mo, and 18 days.

Funeral will take place from C.C. Chase Undertaking Parlors today at 2:30PM. Funeral private.

George P. Sanderson passed away at 5 A.M. Thursday at Soquel at the ripe age of four score years. He came to Soquel two years ago with his son George Sanderson, Jr. He was mayor of Lynn, Mass., for two terms 1879-1880. Lynn is the greatest shoe manufacturing center in the world, and the deceased was interested in one of the shoe factories there for many years, and took an active part in the progress of that city. He was proprietor there of Boscobell hotel, one of the leading hotels of Lynn at the time.

The deceased leaves to mourn his loss his widow, now at Soquel, his son, also residing there, a son, Ross at Fresno, and two sons, Frank and Carl, at Lynn Mass.

The deceased was an old soldier having been one of the Massachusetts volunteers. He belonged to no lodge. His father was presiding elder of the Methodist church in Maine, and his brother was elder of the same church in New Hampshire.
