Highly Esteemed Resident Dies

Albert H. Parsons, who has been ill, passed away yesterday morning at the home of Thomas Lane on Riverside Av., and in his passing was removed a worthy citizen whose life for many years has been linked with that of Santa Cruz.

Mr. Parsons was one of those quiet but sociable old gentlemen, and it was only friends that he made during his lifetime. For several years he has assisted at Frank McCarriers and employer and patrons all esteemed him highly.

He was a New Englander from the Englander hills, and has been west for many years, but he had the general characteristics of the best of that section of the country.

Mr. Parsons was a Civil war veteran and was a member of Wallace Reynolds post, G.A.R. He was a brother of the late Mrs. L.K. Baldwin and of Mrs. Holley, and an uncle of Mrs. L.E.. McLellan, Ms. H.N. Terry and Charles Holley.

Not only was he popular among the older people, but he was one who never grew old and was much liked by the younger people. The body is at the Chase undertaking parlors.
