Death From Paralysis
Simon Moore Has a Stroke and Falls Down Cliff
Taken to 43 Pryce Street and Passes Away This Morning

Simon Moore, an elderly gentleman while on the Cliff drive yesterday was near the cliff, walking when he was suddenly stricken with paralysis and fell ten feet, in one of the washouts near Vue de l'Eau. He was taken to a carriage and brought to his stopping place at 43 Pryce street, where medical aid was summoned. His death occurred this morning.

The deceased has been here for a month and in California for thirty five years. At the time of his death he was 75 years of age.

DIED: MOORE- In Santa Cruz July 18th, Simon Moore, Husband of Nancy E. Moore and father of Ida Wood, Mrs. Cora Brittman, and Mrs. Flora Golby. A native of Indiana, aged 75 years 5 months, 10 days.

The funeral services over the late Simon Moore were held Wednesday afternoon from his late residence on Pryce St. The G.A.R. attended and participated in the services which was conducted by J.B. Orr of the Congregational Church. Many friends attended and there were many floral offerings.
