Birthday of an Old Comrade

The birthday of Comrade L.H Monroe was celebrated at his residence, 42 Blaine St., by the guest who had received invitations from Mrs. Monroe.

At five o'clock a delicious diner was served by the hostess and the evening was spent in games, readings and reminiscences of the Civil War.

The guests were all Grand Army men and their wives; J.B. Meyers, J.H. Treanor, William Brown, J.F. Williams.

As their numbers grow less, friendship is cemented more firmly among the old comrades.
