Funeral Services Held Yesterday for Pajaro Valley Pioneer
Henry McGowan died at the home of his nephew, William McGowan, Saturday, March 16, 1918, aged eighty one years. Deceased lived for more than forty years in the Pajaro valley and is well known to many of the people of the community. He was for many years engaged in farming and ranching. During his long residence here he had won the confidence and respect of all with whom he was associated in business or personal affairs and many people will feel a deep regret at his passing. Four nephews survive him, Matt, William, Robert and Hugh McGowan.
Funeral services were held from Burland's undertaking parlors yesterday afternoon at three o'clock. The pall bearers were Joe Kirby, Thomas Kirby, Thomas Trafton, Ormond Williamson, Martin Lindsay, Ben Burland. Interment was made at the I.O.O.F. cemetery.
